Our Market Finds feature items that have caught Emily’s eye on her trips to India and in the markets she so loves to visit while there. This round of products, picked up in November 2019 in Jaipur, features traditional and authentic Rajasthani Jewelry made out of Lac, also known as Lacquer. The substance is derived from an insect called Kerria Lacca, when it leaves a resinous substance behind in its trail. Part of the signature look of a Rajasthani woman, this intricate jewellery is both stylish and affordable.
Most of Emily’s finds from her last trip are unfortunately sold out BUT Purnima is heading back to Jaipur soon to scour the markets and bring back more unique and beautiful products. Subscribe here to be the first to know when these new items are uploaded onto the website for sale!
